Interested in volunteering?
We welcome volunteers. It is through the contribution of volunteers that we are able to deliver legal services to some of the most disadvantaged members of the community.
At our Headquarters in Sydney we engage volunteers in both our commercial and humanitarian practices. Also at our various Advice Bureaus in Sydney (NSW), Goodna (QLD) and Sunshine (VIC) we are keen to engage volunteers.
We deliver free advice at our Advice Bureaus and have a large number of volunteers who assist in the delivery of this advice. Days, times and locations of the Advice Bureaus can be found here.
If you are interested in joining us in a voluntary capacity as a Solicitor, Intern, Law Clerk, Migration Agent, Paralegal, Interpreter or Administrative Assistant, please complete the Volunteer Expression of Interest Form and email it, together with your CV and cover letter, to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to hearing from you!
“Salvos Legal has been the first law firm in which I practiced law as an admitted solicitor. The calibre of the lawyers, and the wealth of experience they collectively bring from their years of practice in diverse areas of the law, culminate to provide a very rich ground to sharpen legal thinking … The quality of the mentoring and guidance has been excellent, and I have been fortunate enough to have worked directly on matters with outside counsel, to go to court, and to have direct contact with clients. The experience is highly recommended for newly admitted lawyers with an interest in learning about case management, communications with external stakeholders, and developing other crucial soft skills necessary for practice.” Benji, Volunteer Intern, 2016
